Open Day 2025

Bathurst campus

Make a weekend of it in Bathurst

City living with a rich heritage

A rich heritage of bushrangers and gold rush days combined with the excitement of V8 Supercars and numerous local sporting competitions make Bathurst a great place to live and study.

Our Bathurst campus is a hub of technology, collaboration and creativity. You’ll join a thriving community of more than 1,500 students, doing everything from business and IT, comms and teaching, to health, law and psychology.

From industry-standard exercise science facilities and our paramedicine simulation ambulance, to the engineering Honeycomb of Learning and modern computer labs, you can live your passion at our Bathurst campus. There’s always a lot going on – from sport on the oval or the indoor arena, to tonnes of clubs on offer.

Living in Bathurst

If you’re keen to get some time out in nature, then look no further than Boundary Road Reserve. Right behind our Bathurst campus, you might see some kangaroos on this easy one-hour walk. If you’re looking for more of challenge, try the Grove Creek Falls walking track. You can camp, hike, or even take a tour of the caves.

View some of the world’s finest and rarest specimens at the Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum – spot the T-Rex! Or pop by the Regional Art Gallery and see its permanent collection of over 2,000 works, including pieces created by local artists.

Venturing up Mount Panorama is a must. Attracting visitors from all over the world, it’s home to the annual Bathurst 1000 – a supercar race that sees drivers hit incredible speeds over a 1,000-kilometre distance. Drive or walk it for a stunning view of the city. Don’t forget to stop by the National Motor Racing Museum to learn more about the history of what’s known as ‘the great race’.

If you’re hungry, why not grab a bite to eat? Check out Dogwood and Cobblestone Lane for a variety of cuisines. But for coffee in a picturesque garden, you can’t go past the Hub. And for dessert, Annie’s Ice Cream Parlour has been serving cold cakes and cones since 1983 – and they’re open late on weekends.
