Open Day 2025

Orange campus

Make a weekend of it in Orange

Food, roos, views… and a volcano

Life in Orange offers the perfect combination of stunning country views, in a city full of culture, exceptional hospitality and community events.

Our Orange campus is Charles Sturt’s health hub. From medicine to dentistry, pharmacy to physiotherapy, you’ll live and study alongside like-minded people at the heart of the region’s health industry.

Located on top of a hill (literally), you’ll enjoy breathtaking views along with a range of on-campus accommodation options, clubs, a campus bar, a café, a brand new gym plus a range of other sporting facilities.

Small class sizes mean you’ll be part of a close-knit community, get the best out of your study experience and quickly settle into life at Charles Sturt.

If you’re looking to take a stroll through nature, why not head up to Gaanha Bula (Mount Canobolas). Just a short drive out of Orange, enjoy scenic views and birdwatching. Walk to the summit for a picnic or take on the Federal Falls Walk – you may even see snow! No matter the season, nearby Lake Canobolas Reserve offers a stunning place to relax, swim or exercise.

Orange is perfect for a stylish country getaway. Yallungah Boutique Hotel, in the local heritage precinct offers a unique experience and à la carte breakfast. In the heart of the Orange wine region, try the Rowlee Wine Tasting. The private guesthouse offers an elegant garden staycation.

Hungry? Well look no further than Orange 360 for loads of incredible dining recommendations. For delicious Asian cuisine, try Mr Lim for Korean pork buns, Lords Place Thai or Mr Sushi King. For pub grub, you can’t go past Hotel Canobolas Bistro or the Gladstone Hotel. And don’t forget to grab dessert from Spilt Milk.

If you want to get out of town, Orange is in the centre of a dozen beautiful villages and shires, each with their own story to tell. Canowindra is known around the world for its incredible hot air balloons. Or take a trip out to Manildra and get the ultimate Insta pic in front of their stunning golden canola fields.
