Open Day 2025

Port Macquarie campus

Make a weekend of it in Port Macquarie

Coastal city, welcoming community

When you go to uni in Port Macquarie (shortened to ‘Port’ by locals), you’ll be surrounded by gorgeous beaches and Aussie wildlife.

Our Port campus is the perfect place to study IT and get connected to global organisations. You can also study health, enviro science, law, psychology and teaching.

The campus features barbecue areas, sports field and rec rooms – with a new café, pool table, table tennis and modern gaming setup. Students can easily access the campus by bus and enjoy the convenience of having the Lake Innes shopping complex right opposite, complete with a bank, chemist, medical and dental centre and various food outlets. Let’s not forget that you’re just minutes from the beach!

Living in Port Macquarie

Looking for a wildlife adventure? Visit the Sea Acres Rainforest Centre and walk through a calming forest oasis. If you’re passionate about animals, book a river cruise on the tranquil waters of the Hastings River – where you might just spot dolphins, turtles, osprey and sea eagles. On land, check out the Koala Hospital and the Billabong Koala and Wildlife Park.

If you’re up for a bit of exercise (with an additional adrenaline rush), check out the Jolly Nose Mountain Bike Track or the Wildnets Adventure Park. Or take a stroll along the picturesque Port Macquarie Coastal Walk or the Town Beach Breakwall.

If you’re a fan of art and culture, a must-see is the Wakulda light show – an immersive sound and light projection onto the Port Macquarie Historic Courthouse. Or visit the local Glasshouse and Gallery.

Food and wine fans will love the Bago Maze and Winery – a family farm showcasing local wine and produce (and a maze!). Moore Beer is home to Port Mac’s finest craft beer (10 pouring taps and counting) and Little Shack offers a fantastic variety of cocktails.

Whalebone Wharf offers a finer dining destination and you can top it all off with Blue Cow Gelato.
